(n10a514w.exe, dated ) and also includes support for the recent W550s laptop. Now the latest most recent version of the Realtek audio installer file for W540/W541 is 6. And it installed Dolby Home Theater v4 for me, and that obviously works as well. The shortcut which launches the GUI object in my screenshot above is called "Dolby Profile" and corresponds to C:\Program Files (x86)\Dolby Home Theater v4\pcee4e.exeĭoing a bit of online searching, it turns out that Lenovo installer file gia136ww.exe is actually the the Realtek audio installer file for the W540/W541 from back in 2014! The README doesn't mention its usability on the W530, but apparently it is usable as I obviously installed it. So although I couldn't remember what had gone on four years back obviously I must have done something a few years back that moved to a significantly newer version of the Realtek audio driver and Dolby Home Theater v4, which has its own unique Start menu items. Now strangely, the W530 driver support site provides a latest version of the Realtek audio installer which is only version 6. However it does look very similar to the screenshot posted earlier, which I knew looked very familiar. And, remarkably, there is a version of Dolby installed on my W530 but it's named "Dolby Home Theater v4". (gia136ww.exe), originally released (and I downloaded it in 12/2014). I then looked around and the Realtek HD Audio Driver version that's installed is 6. Well, just looked at my W530, which has an ALC3202 Realtek chip in it.
